A SKU number is a unique identifier for a single item and stands for "Stock Keeping Unit". No two products can share a single SKU number.

How is it used?

Typically a SKU number is used to create a barcoded price tag, or to look up products internally in your store.

A SKU number gets you straight to a particular product so you can quickly and easily make updates.

Generating SKUs

Thrive Inventory by Shopventory gives you the ability to generate a SKU number in UPC-A format (12 digits).
