Good news: Your quantities are CORRECT! ✅

This is a display issue in Square's web dashboard ONLY. In other words, your quantities are being managed correctly between Square and Shopventory. The problem is with how Square is showing your quantities in their items list on squareup.com. This is an outstanding bug in Square and we are working with them to resolve it.

Quantities will go from a number to just a dash. (10 ➡️ - )

But if you go into the product, the stock history is correct and if you try to adjust inventory, the quantities will appear:

What does this mean for me?

  • This just means that the Square dashboard in Squareup.com will not show the quantity until Square corrects the issue. Quantities are correct, they're just not showing up on the item list. The quantities are correct in the Square Register app.

Do I need to change anything?

  • No. Just continue managing, creating, and editing all aspects of inventory in Shopventory.

What is being done to fix this?

  • To be clear, Square has acknowledged this is a problem on the Square end. They have let us know they are working to resolve it, but Shopventory has not been given a timeline. We will keep our Square users updated.
