In Thrive Inventory by Shopventory, images have a few requirements:

  • Only .jpg and .png file types are accepted

  • Maximum size of 5MB

  • Maximum width and height of 2048 x 2048


Integration Specifics Requirements

Clover Devices

Clover does not support images on their end so if you upload images in Thrive Inventory, they will not appear on the point of sale for Clover. 

Square Devices

Square currently only supports images at the Product level. This means that if you have an image on individual Variants, they will be overridden by the Product image. 

Shopify & WooCommerce

Additional images can be linked using the product description. Just make sure to link directly to the image. The easiest way to do this is to right-click and select "Copy Image Address" on whichever site hosts the image and then paste in the product description field in Thrive Inventory.


Why are my images being uploaded sideways?

Most cameras will store an "orientation" flag on the image file, according to how the camera was physically rotated when the picture was taken. Some photo apps will read this information to auto-rotate your display, without rotating the image itself. When this happens, it's easy to upload an image that appears to be oriented correctly, only to see it sideways in Thrive Inventory.

To fix this, open the photo in a photo editor, rotate the image, save it, and upload again.


Things to note

  • Thrive Inventory will automatically push pictures to the point of sale/web store (if supported).

  • Images can be added to individual variants.

  • Images can be added and managed using the "Manage Images" button on the product page:
