The Intelligent Stock Forecast Reports will give you a smart estimate of how much time you have left before a product will be out of stock.

Each variant has its own Stock Forecast Report calculated by Shopventory based on the variant's sales history. You can also view the Overview report which displays the estimated time remaining for ALL variants.

You can use Stock Remaining values to create Alerts (for example, "alert me if an item is projected to run out of stock in less than 3 days").

This report is only available on the Professional Plan and above.

You will see the estimated time remaining for each variant on the Products & Variants tab:

Pulling a Variant-Specific Stock Remaining Report

Visit the Products & Variants tab and click on a Product's current quantity to see Product History. From there, click "View Report" to see the Stock Remaining Report for that variant:

NOTE: If you don't see the option, it may mean there is not enough history for Shopventory to calculate a Stock Remaining Report.

On the report, you'll see analysis of your sales for that product as well as estimates for how much time you have left.

See Stock Remaining For All Products

Visit the Reports tab and select "Stock Forecast Report" under the Inventory Reports section.

You can use the Search bar or Filters to view a certain subset of your inventory, and click on the headers to Sort by any column.

Click "View report" on any row to expand the details for that variant.

How Shopventory Calculates the Stock Remaining Report

Shopventory has a complete sales history for every product in the inventory, so we use predictive analytics for our forecasting to give you the most accurate estimate we can.

The more time and sales data we have, the more accurate the estimate, so Shopventory's estimates will only get better over time!

Stock Remaining Reports are calculated once per day, overnight. You'll have updated estimates ready for you each morning!

Export / Print a Stock Remaining Report

You will notice PDF and CSV options to export in the upper-right corner:

  • A PDF file is a better choice if you prefer to print a hard copy.
  • A CSV file is a spreadsheet file format that is better if you plan to use a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel™ or Google Sheets™.
