When to delete from the provider

This should ONLY be done when you want to export inventory information from Thrive Inventory by Shopventory to populate a new sales channel. 

These instructions are for wiping out ALL the inventory data on the merchant account before connecting Thrive Inventory in order to re-populate the integration with Thrive Inventory's inventory data after connecting.

⚠️ Do not delete products from your merchant account integration to remove them from Thrive Inventory. That will cause issues! ⚠️

Shopify:

This will be done from the products page:
(Store-Name.myshopify.com/admin/products)

There is a master checkbox at the top of most item lists. You can click the master checkbox to select every list item on a page. You can select more than 50 items for a bulk action.

  • Click the master checkbox.

  • Click Select all 50+ items from your store (if needed)

  • Select Actions > Delete selected products

Note: Performing bulk actions on 50+ items can take a few minutes. If you have selected all list items for a bulk action, then wait for the bulk action to complete before making other changes.


Clover:

  1. Go to your Clover Inventory tab and view your Items.

  2. Click “Select All”.

  3. Click “Delete” under the Bulk edit options dropdown.

    1. This will only delete one page at a time. If you'd prefer, you can scroll to the bottom of the page, click "Show More" and keep going till you see your full inventory, then "Select All" and delete.

    2. NOTE: It might be faster to delete the products in bulk directly on your POS, but just make sure that it also remove the product from your Clover Inventory tab as well.   


Square:

Square requires inventory to be exported in a CSV (spreadsheet file) and then re-imported to Square in order to delete. 

Here are the steps to follow in Square:

  1. Visit Items in your online Square Dashboard.

  2. Click Actions>Import Items at the top right of Dashboard.

  3. Select Replace Item Library and click Next.

  4. Click “Download your item library.”

  5. Delete your items from the Excel (.xlsx) or .CSV template file except for a single item, or create mock item.

  6. Drag and drop your template file into your Dashboard.

  7. Click Upload.

  8. Review your changes and click Confirm Import.


WooCommerce:

Products can be deleted page by page in the Products page in the WooCommerce admin area.

Steps:

1. Select all the products using the master checkbox at the top of the page. 

2. Select Bulk Actions > Move to Trash > Apply
3. Go go the Trash tab.

4. Repeat steps 1 & 2, but this time select Delete Permanently
